The Senior Room

The Senior Room is made up of:
4th; 5th & 6th Class

Term 1
September and October:
The term the Senior Room have explored a number of themes such as: 'Name Creations'; 'Fold Creations' and 'Autumn Trees'.
In English, we are reading 'Listen to the Moon' by Michael Morpurgo set in the Scilly Isles during the First World War.
During Maths Week we have investigated 'Lines and Angles' and also completed a fabulous 'Maths Trail'.
In Science we have been looking at the 'Properties of Materials' and we found out just how strong a folded sheet of newspaper can be and how to make it even stronger!
Wonders never cease in the Senior Room....
Term 2
This term in the Senior Room we have worked on our own History Projects which are all very interesting to read and share with everyone.
We have also continued writing in our Creative Writing Portfolios and experienceing different writing genres.
In art we created tissue paper pictures and we also worked with the Colour Wash technique.
The were bright and colourful!
