World Book Day
World Book Day was held on the 2nd March in our school this year. World Book Day is all about inspiriting people to read more books every year.
We celebrate World Book Day in our school by encouraging people to dress up as their favourite character from a book. We also do 'shared reading' where we read in small groups, with children from different classes. It's very fun.
I dressed up a the 'Worst Witch'. It is a very good book. I think the best costume, was one of the 'Where's Wally' costumes.
It's probably my favourite time of the school year. You also get a book token that's worth €1.50.
Over all, Work Book Day is really fun!

On World Book Day, everybody dressed up as a book character f their choice. It was really fun seeing all of the unique outfits from a wide variety of literature.
We also brought in €2 for our charity, 'Focus Ireland'.
At the end of the day, we al got a World Book Day token, which is a small piece of paper that can be used at most bookshops either as a €1.50 voucher or to get any of the selected World Book Day books for free!
