Welcome to All Saints’ National School Parents’ Association.
We strive to bring together Fun and Fundraising and to support the school as best we can. We are all really proud of our small school and want to support it for the benefit of our children.
Role of the Parents' Association
A Parents’ Association (PA) is the structure through which parents/guardians (All subsequent references to parents include legal guardians) in the school can work together for the best possible education for their children. The PA works with the Principal, staff and the Board of Management to build effective partnership between the home and school. Partnership between the home and school is important because with positive and active partnership the child gets the best that primary education can offer.
The role of a parent association as follows:
Who we are
Membership of the PA shall be open to all parents and guardians of children attending All Saints National School.
The Committee of the PA is formed of six members of the PA elected at the Autumn AGM, two parents representing each classroom, together with both parent representatives elected to the Board of Management. The Committee will have the responsibility of representing the parents and guardians of All Saints National School and managing the activities of the Parents Association.
Written communication may be sent to The PA Committee, C/O Secretary All Saints National School.
Fundraising
As a small school the funds raised by the events we host have a huge impact upon the education of all of our children. A large role of the PA is to raise funds to support the school in many ways.
At the start of each school year the PA Committee will liaise with the Principal, to secure Board approval on a fund-raising target; and a list of planned expenditure to benefit the pupils which will be supported by the PA. Spending during the year will be made in consultation with the Principal. We have supported the following endeavours in the past; and expect to support similar in the future:
